Do you want to be a good mushroom hunter, identify mushrooms, the world of mushrooms found in Andorra and how to know which mushrooms are toxic and which are edible?

We will discover the whole world of mushrooms with the collaboration of a researcher from the centre: Andorra Research and Innovation (AR+I).

The day consists of a walk through the forests of La Rabassa, where we will discover the importance of mushrooms in the biodiversity of our ecosystems. During the outing, our guide will also explain the most distinctive features of autumn, such as the falling of the leaves, the change of colour in nature and the behaviour of the local fauna at this time of year. The walk, which will last around 2.5 hours, will allow you to enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery at this time of year. The day will end with a picnic where you will be able to taste Andorran cold meats and cheeses.

PROGRAMME

• 10:00h - Welcome and meeting point on the terrace of La Borda, located in the C.2000 of Naturland.
• 10:00-13:00h approx. - Field trip, ‘learn to be a good mushroom forager’, accompanied by our guide and a researcher from AR+I (Andorra Research + Innovation).
• 13:00-13:30 approx. - Workshop to identify samples.
• 1:30 p.m. approx. - Picnic: A table of cold meats and local cheeses to share, bread with tomato, a glass of wine and water.

• Warm clothes, hiking shoes, raincoat, water bottle, basket and small knife are required.
